Virtual Program

September 24-25, 2021

Cardiovascular disease is a global epidemic with no geographic, gender, or socio-economic boundaries . Despite tremendous advances in cardiac care, including new devices and therapeutics and diagnostic innovations, heart disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide. To tackle this global health problem, we must broaden our scope of interventions, optimize preventive strategies, and translate our innovations into progressive health policies for the aging population. New frontiers for cardiovascular research include health promotion and disease prevention, multi-vascular morbidity, acute heart failure, and the heart-brain connection.

We have developed an exciting virtual program that will permit delegates to learn about innovative new advances in cardiovascular disease and data science. The 2021 conference program will appeal to a wide audience as it features guideline updates, interactive workshops, poster presentations, as well as opportunities for networking and mutual learning. This format will allow key opinion leaders and trainees both to share the latest in cardiovascular research and treatments with health care practitioners and scientists across Canada.

To enhance the learning experience, the symposium will feature lectures, panel discussions, problem-solving sessions, and case presentations to foster interaction between the faculty and delegates. The case-based presentations will be particularly valuable in translating theoretical concepts and guidelines to practice.

Delegates will have the opportunity to access sessions on demand (see registration page for more details)
